eWe Privacy Policy

Welcome to the web site (the “Site”) or mobile app of Watts and Volts Mobiltiy Pvt Ltd, (hereafter referred as “eWe”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to information that we collect and use about you when you access or use our Site, mobile application (including any versions optimized for viewing on a wireless or tablet device), or any other online or mobile service, interactive features, and communications made available by eWe, however accessed and/or used, that are operated by us, made available by us, or produced and maintained by us and our related companies and those that link to or otherwise present this Policy to you.   3. Payment details that are shared / updated for renting a Vehicle
  4. User account profile information
  5. Customer service and support requests, or any other such requests
  6. Registration for any events on eWe website / app
  7. Signing up to receive alerts or other information via email, text or instant message from eWe
  8. Any communications related to the Services, e.g. email verification; pin change request etc
  9. Participation in online communication forums, commenting on blogs, news articles and other forums
  10. Participation in surveys & contests
  11. Applications to career postings at eWe
  12. Any other communications you make with us through the Services


1.2 We collect some data directly from you

This includes your name, mobile number, email address, address, and payment information and certain demographic data such as age, gender, and pin code inferred from your IP address. When you invite others to use the Services, we may collect certain information to send an invitation to use the Services and create an account. We may also collect additional information from you, such as your city of residence, your preferred eWe, your hobbies and other such information.

1.3 Some Information is Automatically Collected by Us
When you browse our websites, use our apps, or otherwise use the Services, we collect some information automatically. For example, we collect:

  1. IP address, unique device identifiers, operating system, browser type, geolocation information, browser language, transactional information and other device information about your computer, mobile, tablet or other such device when using the Services.
  2. Analytics and information regarding your use of the Services, including but not limited to GPS routes, and status of GPS chips.
  3. Device information about the eWe, including timestamps and battery status.
  4. Additional data to understand the user traffic and log files such as time of access, date of access, software crash reports, session identification number, access times, and referring and exit pages.
  5. Any other data regarding your use of the Services.


1.4 Some Information is collected from or through Social Media Sites or when You Use Your Social Media Login

We may collect information from your social media page or account on any platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube, or Pinterest, when you interact with us. This includes your account ID or “handle.” We will also collect information that we are allowed to collect and store based on your settings and the policies of these social media platforms. If you publish your social media profile on our Services, we may collect information that you make available as part of that profile.

1.5 Collection of Third Party Information Through Refer a Friend/ ‘Give Free Ride Get Free Ride’ Feature
We will have a referral service from time to time so you can introduce eWe Services to people you know, in accordance with local laws. If you choose to use the referral service, the referrals will be sent through a standard template message to your referral. We will only collect the referral’s information when he / she signs up for the Services with the referral code.

1.6 Information Collected From Other Sources
We may receive information from other sources such as marketers, business partners, analysts, researchers etc. We may use this information to update our records, and customize our Services to offer you a better experience as per your requirements. We may also need to determine your creditworthiness through information collected from credit reporting agencies in accordance with applicable laws.


2. LOCATION INFORMATION
The precise GPS location information regarding the eWe Vehicle location, the routes taken, and the rental status of these Vehicles is collected and stored. Information regarding your location linked to your account that is enabled or volunteered through the Services is collected and stored by us. We also collect and store your device’s source IP address which may disclose the general location of your device at the time of accessing the Services.


3. USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER ONLINE TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
‘Cookies’ are small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit certain online pages. These files record your preferences and actions. This ensures that you do not need to re-enter your details every time you visit eWe. We use cookies and similar technologies, like most other sites, to track your preferences and usage of our Services and your exposure to our advertisements. We may also use cookies to improve the Services, monitor traffic, and improve your usage experience making it more relevant for you.

  5. Perform statistical, demographic, and marketing analyses of users of the Services and their purchasing patterns

 


6. SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION

  1. Affiliates: We may share your information with any of our affiliates when needed to operate our services.
  2. Your Consent: We may share your information with non-affiliated third parties only on receiving your consent.
  3. Legal Requirements: eWe may disclose your information if required to do so by law. We may need to provide your information if it is believed to be necessary to protect eWe against legal liability or protect/defend the rights or property of eWe, protect other users of eWe or the public, comply with any legal obligations, to enforce any legal terms governing your use of the Services.
  4. Business Transfers: As we grow our business, we may be part of mergers, corporate sales or reorganization, there may be asset sale, dissolution or any other such reorganisation. In such event, we may share your information as part of asset transfer

8. CHILDREN
eWe is not to be used by children under the age of 18. Therefore, we do not knowingly collect any information of children through the Services. If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any personal information through the eWe Services. If we find that a child under the age of 18 has provided personal information to us, we will close and delete the account and account related information.


9. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITE AND SERVICES
This Policy applies only to the Services. The Services may contain links to other web sites or services not operated or controlled by eWe (the “Third Party Sites”). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Party Sites. The links from the Services do not imply that eWe endorses or has reviewed the Third Party Sites.
